An Invitation from Princess Moss, NEA Secretary-Treasurer
NEA needs the voices, ideas, ingenuity, and strength from our higher education membership to plan our future as a union. The budget process at the NEA is an open one and Secretary-Treasurer Moss is asking NEA's higher education members, including every member of the National Council of Higher Education, to engage in this process. We have an opportunity for you to provide your input and plan to attend the strategic plan and budget session at the NEA Higher Education Conference. Read more, here.
GPS Fund Grants
NEA’s Great Public Schools (GPS) Fund enables grant awardees to improve student success. Since 2013, the GPS Fund has provided funds to state affiliates, local affiliates, and partnerships that demonstrate leadership in enhancing the quality of public education and engaging members. Award criteria focus on ensuring successful students, accomplished professionals, dynamic collaboration, and empowering leaders. Go here to learn more about the grants already awarded, about guidelines and deadlines, and about the application process.
edCommunities, NEA’s online professional learning and engagement community, hosts many private and public discussion groups. To connect with groups of educators, school support professionals, and other colleagues about how NEA’s GPS Fund Grants can work for you, first go here to become a member then enter key word Grants in the search function and join the “NEA Grants 4 Great Public Schools” group.
