No One Should Go Hungry in America

As the federal government shutdown continues, Congress must urge the Trump administration to fund the program that helps working families put food on the table.

Take Action

Don’t allow SNAP benefits to lapse during the shutdown

More than 40 million people in the United States who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to feed themselves and their families are at risk of going hungry. The Trump administration is refusing to use all the tools and resources it has to keep benefits flowing, even seeking to overturn court rulings ordering that USDA fully fund SNAP.

SNAP recipients are mostly senior citizens, families with children, and people with disabilities. Urge your members of Congress to pressure USDA to release additional funds to help all in our communities, including some educators, who are facing hunger.
