Extend Affordable Care Act Subsidies

Extending ACA subsidies will protect health care for 20 million Americans.

Take Action

Tell your elected representatives to extend ACA subsidies

Following House passage of the three-year extension of Affordable Care Act subsidies with bipartisan support, the Senate must act immediately. Premiums on Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces are rising significantly—more than double, on average—putting health coverage out of reach for millions of Americans.

While allowing ACA subsidies to expire for more than 20 million Americans, congressional Republicans also chose to make tax breaks for the wealthy permanent.

As a result, families nationwide are dealing with staggering premium increases, dangerous coverage gaps, and the threat of losing health insurance altogether.

The consequences for educators are severe. More than 10% of education support professionals (ESPs) depend on Medicaid or ACA marketplace plans to keep themselves and their families healthy.

Allowing ACA subsidies to lapse while protecting tax giveaways for the ultra-rich is unacceptable. Tell the House to continue the work it has done on this issue by urging the Senate to extend the subsidies.
