Take Action

Don’t allow SNAP benefits to lapse during the shutdown

More than 40 million people in the United States who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to feed themselves and their families are at risk of losing their benefits in November. The Trump administration’s USDA is refusing to use the tools and resources it has, even during a government shutdown, to keep SNAP benefits flowing in November. Urge your members of Congress to pressure USDA to release contingency funds to help people facing hunger, including students and some educators.
