Right now, states need to decide if they want to take part in President Trump’s national voucher program.
Public money belongs in our public schools, which 88 percent of school-aged children in Connecticut attend. The federal voucher program will siphon money to private programs that are neither transparent, accountable, nor open to all families.
The federal voucher program will harm Connecticut students and schools. It incentivizes privatization and will drain federal revenue at a time when Title I and IDEA are already underfunded.
Please write Gov. Lamont and tell him to keep vouchers out of Connecticut.
