Take Action

Reject President Trump’s Budget

The Trump administration continues to shift costs to states and institutions of higher education to reduce the federal investment in today’s students—our nation’s future leaders and workforce.

Two no-strings-attached block grants would replace dozens of K-12 and Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) programs. Some programs would be eliminated entirely—among them, Full-Service Community Schools, English Language Acquisition, and the Teacher Quality Partnership, which addresses the teacher shortage through deep clinical practice.

In higher education, nearly $3 billion would be eliminated across several programs, including Minority-Serving Institutions, the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), and International and Foreign Language Education.
