Take Action
Reject President Trump’s Budget
The best way to appreciate educators' hard work is to pay them what they're worth and ensure they have the time and resources they need to serve their students.
Instead, the Trump administration’s FY2027 budget proposes:
- Changing K-12 and Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) programs to unaccountable block grants, which means states could redirect funding to other programs;
- Eliminating funding for full-service community schools;
- Eliminating programs that help students learn English;
- Eliminating programs that address the teacher shortage;
- Eliminating nearly $3 billion for higher education, especially for minority-serving institutions.
Tell Congress that we need a budget that prioritizes educators, students, and communities.
