Take Action

Restore collective bargaining in DoDEA schools

The Federal Education Association, an NEA affiliate, represents educators in 161 schools stateside and overseas for military-connected students—the children of active duty and civilian Department of Defense employees. The schools are administered by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).

President Trump’s March 27 executive order, “Exclusions from Federal Labor-Management Relations Programs,” ends collective bargaining in agencies whose primary function is intelligence, counterintelligence, investigative, or national security work—a description that clearly does not apply to DoDEA schools.

Urge your members of Congress to support the bipartisan Protect America’s Workforce Act (H.R. 2550) to restore collective bargaining in DoDEA schools
