Take Action

Tell Congress to Hold the Administration Responsible for Over-the-Top Immigration Raids

Everyone deserves to live without fear of violence. Our schools and communities should be places of learning and belonging, and they should be safe for all. Military-style raids in our communities undermine this mission—they do NOT make our communities safe.

The Trump administration has escalated aggressive U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in many communities, including Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago and Charlotte. Minneapolis is among the latest targets—and the consequences have been deadly.

Hours after the murder of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, ICE agents unleashed tear gas and violence at a public school two blocks from the shooting, detaining two school staff who were following protocols to protect students.

The raids have incited fear and panic about the condition of loved ones who have been detained and attacked; lives and routines have been disrupted and thrown into turmoil. Educators have been horrified to see their students being “disappeared” from school grounds and see the negative impact of these injustices every day in the classroom.

We demand that our leaders prioritize the safety, dignity, and civil rights of our communities. No matter where you live, you can take action to end ICE's presence in every community across this country now.

Tell your senators and representatives that these dangerous immigration raids and deplorable attempts to silence protests must stop.

Congress must hold ICE, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Trump administration accountable for these actions.
