No matter our color, background, or ZIP code, we want students in schools, colleges, and universities to receive an education that imparts honesty about who we are, integrity in how we treat others, and courage to do what’s right.
But a handful of politicians are trying to demonize and censor our own history in order to prevent students from learning our shared stories of confronting injustice to build a more perfect union.
We demand that all our schools and institutions of higher learning have the freedom to meet every student’s needs with well-trained and supported educators and an age-appropriate curriculum that helps them reckon with the past and shape our future.
