There is no doubt that this has been a challenging year for many lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ+) students who struggle to find their safe spaces, especially in schools.
NEA offers a series of member-led, blended online courses designed to help educators deepen their understanding of LGBTQ+ identities, experiences, and needs. These courses give members practical tools to foster classrooms where every student feels seen, valued, and safe. By participating, educators can strengthen their ability to create equitable learning environments and become stronger allies for LGBTQ+ students.
Course Details:
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Structure: Online and suggested pacing deadlines for flexibility
- Completion: Certificate for 15 hours* of professional learning
