In this session, participants will explore how a research committee can support organizing and bargaining. Strategic research strategies can identify the strengths and weaknesses of an institution, as well as leverage points that can be operationalized to mobilize members, engage community allies, pique media interest, and ultimately move decision-makers. Enlisting and supporting a member-driven team also reinforces the credibility of the findings, helps engage other members, and builds internal capacity.
