2018 Winter Listening and Engagement Tour

What is the WLET?

NEA’s Winter Listening & Engagement Tour (WLET) supports local and state affiliates' year-round organizing work and is designed to lift educators’ voices to achieve our mission of great public schools for all.

The WLET builds on the work and momentum of the New Educator campaign by continuing recruitment and engagement in the winter months and taking local action and winning on the issues identified by members.

This year the WLET is also supporting this local organizing with innovative online organizing strategies and approaches, such as use of digital tools like HUSTLE, Facebook Live, and Action Network.

We invite you to join us, to lift up your voice, and win on public education issues that affect students, educators, and communities.

What does it mean to sign up for the WLET?

Locals will receive organizing supports and resources based on their self-identified needs and interests. For some, this will be largely electronic and digital content, and for others it may include additional field organizers from NEA’s Center for Organizing.
