Power from Unity

In America, we have No Kings. In our union, we have each other. Our power comes from our unity, our dedication to our students, and our collective action for and with our communities. We’re using that power to foster the thriving communities our families deserve.

  • NEA members across the country are protecting their students from ICE, ensuring schools and campuses are safe zones, and mobilizing their communities.

  • From “Know Your Rights” trainings to school patrols, from marches to rallies, we are defending our neighbors, protecting our students, and standing up to authoritarian tactics.

  • We’re successfully protecting our students and the diversity, equity, and inclusion programs they deserve in our schools. We are in the courts demanding that the Trump Administration restore the rightful protections for schools, bus stops, places of worship, and hospitals. We’re organizing for students with disabilities to continue learning and growing along with their classmates.

  • Our union won’t stop until every student, every school, and every family has what they need to thrive.

2
We Save Each Other

Peaceful No Kings events are planned around the country on Saturday, March 28. When we speak up together with our neighbors, we are too loud to be ignored.

  • Every time the Trump administration escalates its violent attacks on everyday people and tries to strip students of opportunity and families of freedoms, the No Kings movement grows stronger.

  • March 28 will prove that we, the people, will not back down.

  • History is clear: people-led movements — not force, not any one politician — are how we defeat fascism and end attacks on our communities. We, the people, will save each other.

  • Unions are a proven force for protecting each other and our communities. For improving learning conditions, raising wages, and empowering students to reach their full potential.

3
Why We Protest

We reject fear and violence as a governing tool. They are un-American and undemocratic. No one can learn in fear; no student should be too afraid to come to school or fearful that family members will disappear.

  • Families are living with instability intentionally manufactured by the president.

  • Masked agents rip parents from their children and terrorize Latino, Black, and Asian communities.

  • No family should have to choose between taking their children to school and risking their family’s safety.

  • Real security looks like students who feel welcome at school, families who feel secure in their communities, and educators who can afford to dedicate themselves to their students and careers.

  • Real security comes from living in thriving communities where everyone has enough to eat, a roof over their heads, and a future worth looking forward to.

This Critical Moment

We show up for our students and our communities when we show up for No Kings Day.

  • We know the right to peaceful assembly is as important to our democracy as the right to a quality education. We're joining No Kings Day to protect our communities, our students, and our profession.

  • We are in a critical moment. On No Kings Day, we will prove that our movement is a growing force to be reckoned with. That’s why each and every one of us needs to show up in our communities large and small, urban and rural, conservative and liberal and everything in between. This isn’t about parties; it’s about priorities.

  • We’re not just saying No Kings. We’re saying every student deserves every opportunity to succeed, every educator deserves respect, and every community deserves to thrive.

  • We demand our representatives reject an agenda built for billionaires and, instead, embrace one that puts our students, families, and communities first.
