No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. The “Win a School Visit with Helen Darling” contest is sponsored by the National Education Association (NEA) through its Read Across America program.
By entering, participants acknowledge and agree that the NEA, Helen Darling, Read Across America, participating schools, affiliates, partners, employees, agents, representatives, and contractors shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage, or expense arising from or related to participation in the contest or the school visit.
The winning school and participating district are responsible for obtaining any required approvals, permissions, media releases, background clearances, or administrative authorizations necessary to host the visit and related activities.
The NEA reserves the right to modify, reschedule, substitute, or cancel the school visit or contest at any time due to scheduling conflicts, safety concerns, travel disruptions, illness, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond its control.
By accepting the prize, the winning school grants permission for the NEA and its partners to photograph, record, and use the school’s name, likeness, statements, and event-related media for promotional, educational, and communications purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by district or state policy.
Entries are limited to one per educator. The winner will be selected at random from eligible entries received by the stated deadline. Void where prohibited by law.
All decisions made by the NEA regarding eligibility, selection, scheduling, and administration of the contest are final.
