after attending the “Public Education Forum 2020: Equity and Opportunity for All”.
Several leaders of the 11 organizations collaborated to host a forum on public education with eight Democratic presidential candidates. Combined, they represent more than 7 million Americans. All decried privatization, education justice inequities. Their statements are detailed in this press release.
The National Education Association interviewed five presidential candidates (Sen. Michael Bennet, Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren) and released them to its members, and will move on to the next phase in its presidential primary recommendation process.
