TeachAI AI Guidance for Schools Toolkit
TeachAI brings together “education leaders and technology experts to guide the safe, effective, and responsible use of AI in schools.” As your school develops and customizes guidance on the use of AI, check out this sample toolkit from TeachAI to craft thoughtful policies and practices on responsible use. You can also use this resource to inform national and state/regional guidance. Here are some key resources that are included in the toolkit:
- Principles for AI in Education: TeachAI provides seven guiding principles that are essential considerations as schools develop AI guidelines. Each principle includes a description, questions to discuss and consider, and real-world examples.
- Sample Letter to Parents and Guardians: TeachAI—in partnership with the National Parents Union—developed this sample letter on the use of AI that you can customize and share with parents and guardians. The letter is meant to engage families in the vision and recommendations of the use of AI in schools.
- Sample Student Agreement: TeachAI drafted a sample student agreement on the responsible use of AI. By having your students sign such agreements, you can promote appropriate practices and establish clear guidelines.
